We had a delightful day yesterday...first we went to meet Mike and his martial arts buddies for their post-practice coffee/lunch at a very nice local independent coffee house which was a delightful fifteen minute walk away for Lyssa and me.
A late lunch of greens, fried eggs and cornbread and a nap made a relaxing afternoon for me.
I also started the first of the three flannel receiving blankets I'm finally making.
We had fun hanging out in the evening around the kitchen table. Here's Mike holding their cat Leo, whom Lyssa adopted in 2004.
Lyssa is knitting a sweater for the baby to match Mike's sweater. She is also planning to knit a black cap like Mike's, and dress the baby like Mike for Halloween.
I know that everyone is looking forward to baby photos. Lyssa will gladly send these via private e-mails, but she and Mike have decided not to post the baby's picture and full name, either on Facebook or on blogs such as this one.
